Born to a Northern Water Tribe father and a Fire Nation mother in Republic City, Nerida makes her own way in the world by fishing off the coasts using her waterbending. While she is not very skilled in self-defense or healing, she has a knack for dexterity and precise movements, which also allows her to sail during storms and other choppy weather to give danger-laden history tours to excitable tourists. She also provides regular tours around the bay when the fish don't bite — gotta keep the coffers full somehow. The skill of which she is most proud is that of boiling water with such strength and intent that it is perhaps her only method of cooking for herself despite already being 16.
